Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it — in plain language.

This Privacy Policy explains how C&I Atelier (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use https://ateliernz.co/ (the “Site”). It covers four things: what we collect, how we use it, who can access it, and what rights you have. It applies in addition to our Terms & Conditions.

Consent

By using the Site, you agree that you consent to:

  • The conditions set out in this Privacy Policy; and
  • The collection, use, and retention of the data described in this Privacy Policy.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us — see Contact below. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to respond to your enquiry or provide certain services.

Personal Data We Collect

We only collect data that helps us achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect additional data beyond what is listed below without notifying you first.

If you choose not to provide the personal data listed below, or if we are unable to collect it, we may not be able to provide you with certain services or information, or carry out an activity you have requested.

When you perform certain functions on the Site — such as submitting an enquiry through our contact form — we may collect:

  • Your name;
  • Your email address;
  • The service you’re interested in; and
  • Your enquiry message.

When you browse the Site, we may collect limited technical data through Google Site Kit — such as pages visited, time on page, approximate location, and device type. This data is aggregated and used to understand how the Site is being used so we can improve it.

How We Use Personal Data

Data collected on the Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of the Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose here.

The data we collect may be used for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project;
  • To prepare quotes, proposals, and scopes of work;
  • To provide services you have engaged us for; and
  • To improve the Site through aggregated analytics.

Who We Share Personal Data With

We may disclose user data to members of our organisation who reasonably need access to it to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. This is limited to the people directly involved in responding to your enquiry or delivering your project.

We may share user data with the following third parties:

  • Google Site Kit — for website analytics; and
  • Our form provider — to receive and manage contact form submissions.

The data we may share with these third parties includes:

  • Visiting and browsing activity on the Site; and
  • Name, email, service option, and enquiry message.

We may share user data with third parties for the following purposes:

  • Website analytics; and
  • Contact information management.

Third parties will not be able to access user data beyond what is reasonably necessary to achieve the given purpose.

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

  • If the law requires it;
  • If it is required for any legal proceeding;
  • To prove or protect our legal rights; and
  • To buyers or potential buyers of this company in the event that we seek to sell the company.

If you follow hyperlinks from the Site to another site, please note that we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

How Long We Store Personal Data

User data is stored for 12 months. You will be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.

If you would like your data deleted sooner, you can request this at any time — see Contact below.

How We Protect Your Personal Data

We take reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected. This includes using reputable third-party services, restricting access to those who need it, and keeping our systems up to date.

That said, no system is perfect. The internet as a whole can be insecure at times, and we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

Children

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, that data will be deleted as soon as possible.

If a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer to have it removed.

How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected

If you would like to know whether we have collected your personal data, how we have used it, who we have disclosed it to, or if you would like your data to be deleted or modified in any way, please contact our privacy officer at [email protected]

We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable and in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Effective Date” at the bottom of this page.

We recommend that users periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of any updates. If necessary, we may notify users by email of material changes.
